Hunting ground – overview (Home)
Clicking a hunting ground in the menu or on the dashboard opens the ground data. The top shows name, district and size, followed by tabs for the areas of the ground:

In the left-hand menu the open ground expands to the same areas. Leaseholders and co-leaseholders also see Manage hunting ground there.
Key figures
At the top: size in hectares, number of members and the type of ground.
Sit today
The Sit today card is calculated for the centre of the ground:
- Sunrise and sunset
- End of dusk (civil twilight)
- Night time – the period in which hoofed game other than wild boar may not be taken under § 19 of the German Federal Hunting Act
- Moon phase with illumination and the next full moon
- Wind with direction, speed, gusts and temperature, plus a preview for the next hours (wind direction as an arrow, chance of rain in blue)
The weather data comes from the German Weather Service (DWD, via Bright Sky); the station used is shown below.
Hunting seasons today
Waidblick shows which species are in open season and which in closed season today – according to the rules of the federal state the ground lies in. Notes on the federal state lists the legal sources and special rules.
The federal state is detected from the location. For a ground on a state border, set it explicitly under Manage hunting ground.
Areas of this ground
Tiles link directly to the ground map, harvest log, wildlife monitoring and hare census.
Use offline
At the bottom you save the map and data of the ground for use without a signal. This matters most on the smartphone – see Out in the field without a signal.
